Dumb bells and jump ropeIf you’re like me, you probably don’t enjoy going to the gym or you believe that you don’t have time for exercise. Here’s a weight loss tip that I’ve implemented into my lifestyle: Exercise for only 10 minutes a day.

Do you have 10 minutes that you can invest to become slimmer and healthier? I’m pretty sure you do.

How about the time you’re sitting on the couch watching your favorite TV show? During the commercials you could stand up and do 20 jumping jacks…or you could do a couple sets of lifting dumb bells. How about taking a walk around the block during your lunch break?

Trust me, any type of activity done on a consistent basis adds up! This is what I’ve been doing to maintain my weight. Try it every day for a month and you will be inspired to extend those 10 minutes to 20 minutes.

People often find themselves looking for diets to lose weight the healthy way. It almost seems like trying to find a needle in the haystack because every diet promises results but fails to deliver. The ones that do produce results revolve around having to starve and consume less than 700 calories a day.

The most successful diet programs are not just built around eating less and calling it a day. In fact, the diets to lose weight the healthy way always are supplemented with a good calorie burning workout program. This could include cardio weight lifting or straight cardio such as running on a treadmill or using an elliptical machine. Either way doing some form of exercise is better than doing nothing. Sometimes we lose weight for the wrong reasons.  Sometimes we have the misfortune of being on the wrong diets and are given incorrect information vital to our weight loss success.

You need a more compelling reason to stick with your program.  Let’s face it, times get difficult when you’re tired, hungry, depressed or bored and you see the chocolate cake staring back at you screaming your name.

Every cell in your body is telling you to eat the cake and every fiber of your being is trying to sway you from your purpose.  Tell me, at this point, do you have a strong enough reason to prevent you from eating that cake?
